On the first day of coverage …
Your home warranty company gave you a welcome booklet!
When you first purchase home warranty protection for a home through Landmark, we send you an email that provides you with a contract, as well as how to use your home warranty. You can request a call from one of our trained staff, who can answer any of your questions and help you add coverage to problem areas of your home.
On the second day of coverage …
Your home warranty company gave you the ability to upgrade to additional coverage plans.
Although this guide says on the second day of coverage, you can upgrade (or downgrade) to different plans within the first thirty days of purchasing a home warranty. Landmark has four plans:
- Our Standard Plan covers the main systems and appliances in a home, including the Furnace, Air Conditioner, electrical and plumbing systems, and your oven, dishwasher, trash compactor, etc.
- Our Premier Plus plan adds Freon coverage, and 28 addition items
- Our Value Plan adds coverage to the fridge.
- The Deluxe Plan adds coverage to the Washer and Dryer
Of course, there are also a-la-carte items you can purchase if you don’t want to upgrade to a different plan, but you want to cover specific items like a pool or water softener. If you want to see what can be covered and compare our plans and pricing, click here.
On the third day of coverage …
Your home warranty company gave you $60 repairs and replacements.
If your warranty was purchased outside of a real estate transaction, thirty days after the purchase date you will be able to open service requests. You can do this by calling into Landmark’s office and explaining what item has failed, or online. Once you have opened a service request, one of our account managers will find a qualified technician to come and diagnose your system or appliance that has failed. When they have diagnosed the issue, you pay them $60, and then they will get confirmation from Landmark to repair or replace the unit or system. All you have to pay is the $60 service call fee, and the rest of the repairs (or the costs to replace the unit) is paid by Landmark Home Warranty.
On the fourth day of coverage …
Your home warranty company gave you a pre-season furnace tune up for only $60.
Before getting your furnace (or air conditioner) started up for the season, it’s always a good idea to double check that the unit is working properly and isn’t going to be a danger for you and your family. Landmark offers $60 furnace and air conditioner tune-ups in the off seasons so you can be prepared.
On the fifth day of coverage …
Your home warranty company gave you unlimited coverage on your gas furnace.
You furnace has a lifespan of approximately 15-20 years. When it fails from normal wear and tear, you can have it repaired or replaced for only $60 – no more or less. with a Landmark Home Warranty. Many home warranty companies have limits on gas heaters – which means they only pay up to a certain amount when repairing or replacing the unit. Landmark has no limits for your furnace.
On the sixth day of coverage …
Your home warranty company gave to unlimited coverage on your central air conditioner.
This is yet another system where other home warranty companies provide limits for their customers. At Landmark, your central air conditioner will never have limits – however much it costs to repair or replace when it fails from normal wear and tear, we will pay. Of course, if you want to get unlimited Freon coverage as well, you can upgrade to the Premier Plus coverage.
On the seventh day of coverage…
Your home warranty company gave you $60 repairs and replacements on your electrical system in your house.
Another system that Landmark covers is the electrical system. This includes your wiring, switches, plugs and electrical outlets. If you need an electrician to take a look at your wiring, call Landmark! We’ll repair or replace it if it’s worn out for only $60.
On the eighth day of coverage…
Your home warranty company gave you $60 repairs and replacements on your plumbing system in your house.
Toilets, showers, pipes … all of these things break, and all of them can cost you hundreds of dollars to replace. Not so with a home warranty from Landmark!
On the ninth day of coverage…
Your home warranty company gave you $60 oven repairs and replacements.
During the holiday season ovens are more apt to break down and wear out because of the constant baking. However, when you’re hosting a holiday party and your turkey needs to go into the oven, it’s not a good time for it to fail from normal wear and tear! With a home warranty, you can rest assured that you won’t have to panic about paying for presents and a new oven – you’ll just be paying $60.
On the tenth day of coverage …
Your home warranty company gave you $60 repairs and replacements for your Dishwasher, Garbage Disposal, Trash Compactor, Built-in Microwave and Kitchen Exhaust Fan.
If you want to upgrade your plan to cover more appliances, like your fridge and washer and dryer set, you can do that as well.
On the eleventh day of coverage, …
Your home warranty company gave you coverage on your garage door opener.
It’s the day of Chanukah, Christmas or New Year’s Eve and you go to leave your house … but your garage door won’t open. How will you get to your in-laws house now? Not to worry – with a home warranty you can have the motor repaired or replaced.
